- WorldClock Menu Features
-
- Clocks - The Default Screen
- This initial screen shows the world map with the pattern of day and night displayed.
- Five clocks at the bottom of the display show the current time at their respective locations.
- The location displayed by a clock may be changed by clicking on the clock and choosing
- a different location from the scrolling display. The times displayed reflect the use of
- standard or daylight time at each location.
-
- Sunrise Today or Sunrise Tomorrow
- These screens, selected from the WorldClock Menu in the menu bar, display the times
- of sunrise and sunset at the location given at the top of the WorldClock window. Also
- displayed are the times of civil, nautical, and astronomical twilight.
-
- Sun Calendar and Moon Calendar
- Sun Calendar or Moon Calendar, selected from the WorldClock Menu in the menu bar,
- each display a calendar of the current month, with the current month and date highlighted.
- To see the astronomical conditions for a different date, you may click on the desired month
- and day.
-
- Sundial
- The Sundial screen displays a graphic representation of a fencepost shadow for the
- location and time currently being used. If there is no shadow, due to the sun being below
- the horizon, the relative density of twilight is displayed.
-
- Change Settings
- The Change Settings screen allows you to set the time, location, time zone, and daylight
- savings rule to be used as WorldClock performs its calculations. This is where you select
- your own location, or the database location nearest you.
-
- All Screens
- All screens display the position of the sun over the earth and position/phase of the moon,
- in addition to the areas of day and night.
-
- Experimentation Support
- Many screens allow you to click on the world map to see the information about the
- location you click upon. An "Animation" feature on the Sundial screen shows 24 hours
- of changes in a couple of minutes.
